A number of individuals had been killed and others injured after a fireplace broke out in a bar within the ski resort of Crans-Montana in southwestern Switzerland, Swiss police mentioned on Thursday.
The fireplace broke out at 1.30 a.m. (0030 GMT) in a bar referred to as “Le Constellation”, police mentioned in a press release.
Swiss media mentioned the blaze was sparked by an explosion.
The realm has been utterly closed off, and a no-fly zone has been imposed over Crans-Montana, police mentioned, including that the reason for the fireplace remained unclear.
